Your sankalp is recorded by the pandit in your name and gotra before the ritual begins. The puja follows traditional vidhi, invoking the nine planets (Navagraha) with mantra chanting and the prescribed offerings. A raksha sutra, empowered during the ritual, and prasad are dispatched to your address once the puja is completed, along with photos and a video as proof it was performed in your name.
Wear the raksha sutra until it wears off naturally. Where possible, offer charity (daan) in keeping with the planet believed to be afflicted, and keep a calm, disciplined routine for a few days after the puja.
