Your sankalp is recorded by the pandit in your name and gotra before the ritual begins. The cleansing puja follows traditional vidhi, with mantra chanting and the prescribed protective offerings. A raksha sutra, empowered during the ritual, and prasad are dispatched to your address once the puja is completed, along with photos and a video as proof it was performed in your name.
Wear the raksha sutra until it wears off naturally. Keep your home clean and well-lit, and if you wish, light a lamp at dusk for the following 7 days as an extension of the ritual. Sprinkle a little of the prasad water in the corners of your home if advised.
