Beyond the lines, palmistry also looks at the overall shape of the hand and fingers, classically grouped into four elemental types: Earth (square palm, short fingers), Air (square palm, long fingers), Fire (rectangular palm, short fingers) and Water (long, oval palm, long fingers).
Earth hands are traditionally linked to practicality and groundedness; Air hands to communication and intellect; Fire hands to energy and confidence; Water hands to sensitivity and intuition.
